We're Hiring
Work that doesn't rush people.
Every role at Residios exists to give families in a tough situation more time, more information, and a clearer picture of their options. If that's why you do what you do, read on.
Why Residios
The right answer sometimes costs us the deal
When a Home Transition Review concludes that a family should list with an agent, get a loan modification, or consult a probate attorney — we say so. Even when it means we earn nothing. Every person who works here has accepted that as a condition of the job.
We slow down for sensitive situations
Our process has real checkpoints for families dealing with grief, illness, financial crisis, or cognitive vulnerability. There is no quota pressure at Residios, no close rate, no month-end urgency — because our clients already have enough of their own.
Everything in writing before anything gets signed
The Home Transition Review is a document, not a pitch. Families get every option, every number, and our honest recommendation in writing — and they keep it regardless of what they decide. We believe transparency compounds over time.
Deep compliance is not optional
We operate in a space with a long history of predatory actors. Our compliance infrastructure — MARS Rule, Maryland Protection of Homeowners in Foreclosure Act, conflict screening, audit trails — is not a cost center. It's the product. Every team owns it.

How We Hire
Application
A short form and a resume. We do not require a cover letter, but we do read every word of context you choose to share. Every qualified applicant hears back within 10 business days — not a month, not "when we get to it."
Initial Conversation (30 min)
A call with someone from the team — not HR, a person who does the work. We want to understand what draws you to this problem and what you've done that's relevant. We'll answer your questions directly, including questions about compensation.
Role-Specific Assessment
For most roles, a work sample or structured exercise. We pay for your time on take-home assessments over two hours. We tell you exactly what we're evaluating and why. We give you feedback on your submission whether you move forward or not.
Team Interviews (2–3 conversations)
Conversations with the people you'd work most closely with — and with at least one person in a different department. No gotcha questions. We share the interview structure in advance. Each interviewer sends you their notes afterward so you know how you were evaluated.
Offer & Onboarding
A written offer with salary, equity (if applicable), start date, and benefit summary — all in one document. We do not make exploding offers. Your start date accommodates your current commitments. Your first 30 days are structured: a clear ramp plan, daily check-ins, and a designated onboarding buddy.

Advisory & Operations
4 open rolesSenior Home Transition Advisor
The core of what we do. You work directly with homeowners navigating distressed or complex property situations — inheritance, foreclosure, partnership disputes, tax-sale — and produce a written Home Transition Review that maps every realistic option with honest numbers before a decision gets made.
Home Transition Advisor
An earlier-career role for someone who has worked with homeowners in difficult situations and wants to do it at a higher standard of care. You'll carry your own caseload with direct supervision from a Senior Advisor while developing the full range of advisory skills.
Client Intake Specialist
The first voice a family hears at Residios. Your role is to receive inbound inquiries, conduct structured initial screening conversations, gather the information an Advisor needs to begin a case, and route each family to the right resource — whether that's a Residios advisor, a HUD counselor, a legal referral, or simply more time.
Operations Coordinator
The operational spine of our advisory practice. You own the logistics layer: scheduling, professional referral coordination, document management, quality checklists, and the systems that let advisors focus entirely on the families in front of them.
Technology & Engineering
4 open rolesSenior Full-Stack Engineer
Own significant product surface area end-to-end. Our stack is TypeScript throughout — React + Vite on the frontend, Express 5 on the backend, PostgreSQL + Drizzle ORM for data. We move deliberately: we'd rather ship one thing correctly than three things provisionally. You'll work closely with the CTO and product owner on decisions that shape how families experience the tool.
Lead Engineer — Advisory Platform
A technical leadership role with a small scope and high accountability. You'll define the engineering roadmap for our core advisory platform, set technical standards, and work closely with the CTO and COO on product strategy. This is an IC-heavy role — you will spend the majority of your time building, not managing.
Data Engineer
Build and maintain the pipelines that feed our valuation, scoring, and market-intelligence systems. You'll work at the intersection of the engineering team and the Data & Analytics team — owning the infrastructure that moves and transforms property, market, and transaction data.
Product Designer (UX)
Design the tools that families in difficult situations rely on to understand their options. Our public-facing decision tools are used by people dealing with foreclosure, inheritance disputes, and tax-sale situations — often for the first time, often under stress. Good design here is not cosmetic; it shapes whether someone understands what they're looking at.
Data & Research
3 open rolesSenior Data Scientist — Valuation Models
Build and maintain the quantitative backbone of our Home Transition Reviews. The AVM (automated valuation model) layer gives advisors a defensible starting point for the valuation section of every review — and the confidence interval matters as much as the estimate. You will own this model end-to-end.
Housing Market Research Analyst
Produce the market intelligence that keeps our advisory work calibrated to real conditions. Maryland's residential market is not uniform — conditions in Baltimore City's tax-sale neighborhoods are different from those in Annapolis or suburban Prince George's County. Your job is to understand those differences well enough to write about them with authority.
Research Associate — Policy & Compliance
Support the Research Analyst and General Counsel with policy monitoring, regulatory research, and the editorial work that keeps our Field Guide accurate and current. This is a writing-and-research role for someone who takes both seriously.
Legal & Compliance
2 open rolesCompliance Analyst
Build and maintain the compliance infrastructure that lets us operate with confidence. Residios operates in a space with meaningful regulatory complexity — MARS Rule, Maryland Protection of Homeowners in Foreclosure Act, RESPA adjacency, state licensing requirements. Your job is to make sure we understand every line we must not cross and that we have controls in place to stay well clear of them.
Paralegal — Real Estate & Regulatory
Support our General Counsel and the advisory team with the legal research, document review, and procedural coordination that keeps our compliance program and professional referral network operating correctly.
Partnerships
3 open rolesSenior Partnership Manager — Professional Referral Network
Build and manage the relationships with estate-planning attorneys, elder-law attorneys, CPAs, probate courts, housing counselors, and mediators who refer families to Residios at the earliest and most critical moments. This is a relationship role, not a sales role — the distinction matters enormously to everyone we work with.
Partnership Coordinator
The operational engine behind our partner relationships. You manage the logistics that let the Senior Partnership Managers focus on relationship depth — CRM maintenance, event coordination, partner onboarding, and the referral tracking that shows us what's working.
Community Outreach Specialist
Reach the families who most need what Residios offers but are least likely to find us through search or professional referral. You'll build presence with community organizations, faith communities, community development financial institutions, and housing nonprofits in Baltimore City and surrounding counties.
Marketing & Content
3 open rolesSEO & Content Strategist
Build and maintain the content layer that ensures families searching for answers about foreclosure, inheritance, or tax-sale find Residios before they find an operator with worse intentions. Our Field Guide and FAQ pages are a real service to real people — treating them as purely an SEO play is a firing offense.
Brand Designer (Visual)
Shape the visual language of a brand built around honesty in a market full of manufactured urgency. Residios's visual identity is deliberately editorial and unhurried — we look nothing like an iBuyer or a 'we buy houses' operator, and that's a product decision. You'll maintain and evolve that identity across every surface we occupy.
Marketing Operations Manager
Own the technical and operational infrastructure that makes our marketing function run. This is the role that connects the brand, content, and partnerships work to the systems that measure it and the intake process that catches the families it reaches.
Don't see your role?
We add positions when a genuine gap in the advisory process demands it — not to fill a headcount plan. If you've spent meaningful time working with homeowners in difficult situations and believe there's a version of your work that belongs here, send us a note. We keep a short list of strong people for roles before they're posted.
